The Full Story
Nernberg & Associates, and its predecessors, have been in existence since February of 1977. Founded by Maurice A. Nernberg, who stated practicing law in 1965, Nernberg & Associates has been a mainstay in Western Pennsylvania. In fact, Nernberg & Associates has maintained the same office space at 301 Smithfield Street in Downtown Pittsburgh since 1982! Not many law firms, or even businesses in general, can boast of that sort of longevity.
During the early years of Nernberg & Associates, Maurice Nernberg built the practice from the ground up and become a well-known and respected member of the legal community, known for his tenacity and no-nonsense style. As his practice grew, Maurice Nernberg would bring on more attorneys to assist his diverse clientele. One, Joshua A. Lyons, was hired as an associate in December of 2005 and became a shareholder in 2013. The other, David M. Nernberg joined the firm in 2007 and similarly became a shareholder in 2013.
Together since 2007, these three seasoned attorneys of Nernberg & Associates have continued to provide superior service to their clients, many of whom, as a testament to the quality of the service they have received, have been clients for decades.
